Connie Windon
Yoga Instructor/ Workshop Coordinator
Connie Windon has been practicing yoga since 1998, and began teaching yoga in 2004. She is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) and received her yoga teaching certification in the Kripalu Yoga Tradition. Connie's classes emphasize asana (postures) and pranayama (breathwork) as a means to refresh, restore and revitalize the body, mind and spirit. Connie's classes put an emphasis on anatomy and physiology, helping her students to understand the physical benefits of the postures and breath and also to develop a keener "body awareness".

Lee Dyson
Yoga Instructor
Lee Dyson first discovered Yoga in the seventies. She has practiced Yoga on her own and with various teachers ever since. An educator for many years, it seemed a natural progression to become certified to teach Yoga in the Kripalu Tradition when she retired in 2007. Lee's classes place emphasis on warm-up stretches, asana and pranayama. She stresses "knowing your own body" and always leaves time for shavasana and lavender neck rubs at the end of practice.
Peggy Reeves Lasich
Yoga Instructor
Peggy Lasich has been teaching yoga for 2 years at A Walk in the Clouds yoga studio and is also a Stretch Class instructor at this facility. She is a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher 200 hour (RYT) and certified with the Kripalu Yoga Teacher Association (KYTA) as a graduate in Kripalu style yoga. Peggy has continued her training with workshops in Iyengar Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, Anatomy with Asana, Yoga for Scoliosis and Chakras. Peggy’s background includes being a licensed nurse from 1979 to present and CPR certified. Peggy’s qualifications help her to bring greater understanding of the mechanics of the body to her students. Peggy is health oriented in her approach to yoga and feels that there is a level for everyone to enjoy and explore with their potential.
Karen Lucas
Yoga Instructor
Karen Lucas is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. She began studying Iyengar yoga in 1996, developing strong principles of alignment and safety which are the foundation of her teaching style. Karen’s classes are designed to lead students of all levels on an inward journey of the self and the needs of the mind and body, toward good health and spiritual harmony. She will challenge students to discover their highest potential through mindful breathing, focus, movement and body awareness. Karen brings experience from her studies with many different yoga teachers and various styles of yoga as well as from her personal practice.
Robin McDonald
Yoga Instructor
Robin McDonald has practiced yoga for more than twelve years and has been a certified yoga instructor since 2003. Robin’s passion for helping others to understand and experience the union of the mind and body that yoga offers led her to study yoga and earn her Yoga Alliance Certification. Robin studied and trained at the Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, North Carolina, under the tutelage of Stephanie Keach. While in training, Robin had the opportunity to practice many styles of yoga and has love and respect for all traditions. Robin’s true passion is flow yoga and Anusara Yoga, which allows for continuous fluidity and motion in the body. Robin is also a true believer in the practice of pranayama techniques (breath practices) which practices enhance the overall yoga experience.
Nancy Rittgers
Yoga Instructor
Nancy Rittgers has been practicing yoga for fourteen years. She was certified by Discovery Yoga in 2001 and has been teaching since then. She has trained in the Iyengar style for the past three years. She thinks everyone should do yoga and there is a class that will suit the needs of any yoga student. In her classes she teaches alignment and the modifications a student needs to achieve that alignment.
Becky Rowell
Yoga Instructor
Becky Rowell is a 230 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) completing her teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in June, 2002, under the tutelage of Stephanie Keach and Rod Stryker, among many others. Becky is professionally certified with Yoga Alliance and has been teaching at A Walk in the Clouds Yoga Studio at St. Simons Health and Fitness since November, 2005. Becky has been instructing yoga classes in the St. Simons/Brunswick area since 2000, and is currently instructing the Awakenings Yoga practice at A Walk in the Clouds studio. Becky also teaches yoga in the weekend class rotations at the studio.
Dr. Marjorie P. Varnadoe
Yoga Instructor
Marjorie Varnadoe is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and became certified in Kripalu Yoga in 2005. Margie’s classes stress relaxation, stretching and proper alignment for maximum comfort and results. Her goal is for each student to strengthen their body while quieting their mind. Proper breathing and warm ups are as critical to each class as the actual postures. She hopes that yoga will be an enjoyable and life-long exercise experience for each of her students.
